Amanda N.C. Jones
Amanda has always been searching for how to leave her mark on the world.
She believes the universe is conspiring in her favor and is always looking for serendipity and connections to point the way.
She wants to create something that inspires herself, her family and the public to live consciously and authentically, free from guilt.
Raised by a single mother, a christian-buddhist, artist and massage therapist, her upbringing guided her into searching for the bigger meaning of life.
After receiving her BA from the University of Guelph for International Development and living in Zimbabwe for a couple of months in 2006, Amanda saw how important it is to deal with development in her own country and has been searching for ways to create more compassion and understanding at home.
She believes that the only way to encourage personal growth and joy is to find it in her own life and so has been on a life long quest to create the life of her dreams so she can share it.
As a mom of three children 6, 5 and 3, Amanda is determined to be her best self and live her best life to create the same possibility in her kids.
Amanda loves unconditionally. She is a big picture thinker and sees the possibility of true peace on Earth, through internal peace.
She believes anything is possible.

James has the unique ability to dream and yet be present in every day life. He helps us paint the picture of the life we hope to create while working his labour job to keep us going.
He is an amazing father and husband and is the backbone of all that we do. James is the reason we said yes to this adventure. He goes with the flow and is the best problem solver. With quiet confidence James keeps us all calm in the chaos. We are so lucky to have him as the Patriarch of our Archer Clan.
Optimystic Prime
The story of Optimystic Prime is a book. it's the story of magic. It is the culmination of love, trust, and surrender. Of looking for the silver lining and for wanting more. Of trusting the universe and starts on an early September 2013 morning when a women, looking for a moment of joy, stepped across the street in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, Canada. A vanilla latte from the coffee shop across the street from where she worked as a waitress. Her first time in. (Gord Downie said it best - where the constellations reveal themselves one star at a time).
The fairies were there that day... whispering tales of her future, a future madly in love with the man who made that latte.
On November 7, 2013 Amanda and James would spend their first time together...and found themselves dreaming together of magic, of a life full of art and beauty, of purpose and love. Amanda and James were never apart after that except for 6 weeks in 2015, when Amanda came to Vancouver Island, with her cousin. to meet her biological father for the first time.
The tale of Optimystic Prime is one of fairy tales... A 1996 International School Bus - it could have driven either of them to high school. Its the symbol of getting back to hopes and dreams they had when they were kids.
Optimystic Prime is the image on the tapestry of Amanda and James' entire lives. Following their dreams into the mystic of Vancouver Island. Determined to create the best life possible for themselves and their kids - and taking the trials of life and turning them into something beautiful, a life full of adventure and how to help others like them.
Optimystic Prime has given the Archers their own home. A safe and warm space to figure out what they want to create next. A glorified moving truck, built on a dream, she is slowly turning into a proper house. Very rustic, Optimystic Prime reflects the importance to go after your dreams, no matter how strong the fear of the unknown is.
She teaches the Archers gratitude every day. For the little things. for fire. for water. for electricity. for a comfortable bed. for space. for weather and its constant change. for self sufficiency. for inner strength. for forgiveness. for safety. for this time they get to spend with their kids - playing at the game of life.
The journey with Optimystic Prime has been the most challenging one Amanda and James have ever faced, one that has enlightened them to an entire community of similar families and individuals. And has inspired the hope to one day, have optimystic prime parked with others like her, a collective space - safe space for the wanderers like the Archers.
She has inspired Amanda to create the opportunity of finding her tribe, by bringing those inspired to come together in the culmination of the Wandering Footprint Wandering hOMe Directory.
Embracing - each step of the journey doesn't reveal itself until the last step is complete - so stepping into the future. one step at a time.
